How to help your child count past ten

My daughter grabbed my measuring tape while I was folding laundry this morning.   It has that fascination of something Mommy uses and won't let it out of her sight.

"Can I roll it Mommy?"  It was a perfect teachable moment.  I said, "Sure, and let's look at the numbers."   She rolled up the tape, slowly covering the numbers one at a time, as we named each one.

I went back to the laundry, but she unrolled the tape, and did it again, and again.  When she got stuck she started asking, "What's this number Mommy?"  I've been puzzling on how to interest my children in counting beyond ten.  I think she figured it out.
